About Lisa Cloyd

My name is Lisa M Cloyd, Broker/Owner of EXIT Palmetto Real Estate Services. Our firm utilizes EXIT Realty's state of the art technology to sell properties quickly and enable our buyers to gain access to every available property on the market. Primarily serving Chapin, Irmo and Lake Murray areas, I sell Lake Houses, Lake Murray access homes and Neighborhoods in the Lexington Richland 5 school district. Client satisfaction and community involvement are key to my success.

I started out in commercial real estate in 2005 and am licensed in both South Carolina and North Carolina. One area of expertise within the commercial spectrum is in Convenience Stores/Gas Stations. On these projects, I team up with my husband Chris Cloyd who is licensed as well.

In 2009, I joined Exit Realty and focused on Residential Real Estate Sales. Since then, I have sold hundreds of properties and in 2014, got my brokers license. Today, I am the Broker-In-Charge at Exit Palmetto Real Estate Services located in the Ballentine community of Irmo, a suburb of Columbia, SC.

I graduated from the University of SC with a major in Advertising, and a minor in Marketing. I also completed a certificate from Midlands Tech in Interior Design and Staging, all of which have enriched my skills in the  real estate industry. Every year I engage in new training programs to keep my own skills sharp and up to date.

As the leader of my company, I acquired facilitator status for the Brian Buffini Peak Producers Program, which we use to train our agents to be effective, competent and confident professionals. I enjoy helping agents learn to build a solid foundation in their businesses and teach them about the significance of maintaining relationships with their clients and how to give exceptional service.

A SC native, born in Charleston; my family moved to TN when I was 6. I grew up in Johnson City, TN. After high school, I  made my way back to SC, and have lived in Chapin for 30 years. I am a mother of three grown children and have been married to my husband, Chris for over 35 years. As a member of Lake Murray Presbyterian Church in Chapin, I have served as a Deacon; and currently serve on the Missions Committee for LMPC, as the liaison for We Care, Chapin's local food pantry.

As a member of the Irmo Chamber of Commerce, Chapin Chamber of Commerce and the Newberry Chamber, our company participates in the annual Irmo Okra Strutt and Chapin Labor Day festivals and  numerous other events in our communities throughout each year. We also partner with Lake Murray Country Visitor Center. In 2019 Exit Palmetto spear-headed the Ballentine Village 1st annual Trunk or Treat which was a big success with over 800 in attendance. The benefit was for fun and to help  build community while we raised money for the Dutch Fork Animal Hospital emergency fund. Since then we have hosted annual Blood Drives for the Red Cross and head up bi-annual Food drives for Sharing God's Love and We Care food Pantries. In 2021 Exit Palmetto was honored by the Irmo Chamber of Commerce as the Community Service Business of the year. 

My History:  Founder of the Village Gourmet in 1980; I sold it after 6 years, Operated Cloyd and Co, a free-lance advertising company in the late 80's & 90's, and while raising children, worked in accounting within our family business. In the early 2000's I began a new career in Real Estate and love it!

When I am not working in Real Estate,  I enjoy raising vegetables in our summer garden with my husband,  reading, kayaking on Lake Murray and in the ocean creeks at Fripp Island, working out at and doing Yoga at the Well SC.

Exit Palmetto Real Estate Services is located in the Ballentine area of Irmo, a suburb of Columbia SC. Our company is in it's 10th year and going strong
